Meet Mrs. Zanger
Welcome to 2nd Grade!
My name is Amy Zanger. I will be your child’s second grade teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. This will be my eighteenth year teaching second grade at Dundee. I am a Dundee Graduate myself! I received my Associate’s Degree from Monroe County Community College along with my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Eastern Michigan University. I live in Monroe with my husband, Tim, and our three children. Our oldest daughter, McKenzie, is seventeen years old and entering her senior year at Dundee High School. Alyssa is fifteen years old and entering her sophomore year at Dundee High School. Ryan is twelve years old and entering seventh grade at Dundee Middle School!!!!!!
I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, shopping, riding my bike, and having a profession that I LOVE to come to everyday. Also, I spend a lot of time cheering my children on at their sporting events. This summer I enjoyed a few family vacations to Frankenmuth, Lewiston and Johannesburg. I look forward to hearing how you and your family spent your summer.
I am excited to work with your child this year and incorporate math stations, Daily 5, and C.A.F.E. in our daily routine. I'm looking forward to digging into this wonderful opportunity. I use Class Dojo and post pictures and upcoming events to keep you updated on what we are doing in the classroom. If you do not have access to the website please let me know so I can send home a newsletter. You can access my website at dundeecommunityschools.org.
Please send a healthy snack and water bottle to school DAILY. Some examples of healthy snacks are fruit, veggies, granola bars, popcorn, crackers, etc. Your child will be allowed to have a water bottle at their seat and only water will be allowed. I look forward to being your child’s 2nd grade teacher and meeting you. Together we can make a BIG difference!
Move-In Night will be on Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00-7:00. This will be a great opportunity to meet you and your child. Please be sure to bring the supplies with you that are listed on the school supply list. Thank you for your support in education,
Mrs. Zanger
